Alia Bhatt, or may I say, Mrs. Ali Bhatt Kapoor, who recently got married to Ranbir Kapoor, is a British actress of  Indian descent. Alia has been the recipient of many accolades including four Filmfare awards. She is one of India’s highest-paid actresses along with Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Anusha Sharma, etc. Alia has appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list since 2014 and was featured by Forbes Asia in their 30 Under 30 list of 2017.

The first time Alia was seen on screen was in 1999 as a child actress in the movie ‘Sangharsh’. In the year 2012, she made her debut in the film industry as a lead actress, in Karan Johar’s movie Student of the Year, starring alongside Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan (who also made their debuts with the movie). 

After that, she has been unstoppable, her next three movies – Highway, Two States and Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya left a mark in Bollywood. Especially her acting in Highway was highly appreciated by the critics and won her the ‘Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress of the same.

One of the most successful young actresses of her time, Alia Bhatt won ‘Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her amazing performance in ‘Udta Punjab’ alongside Shahid Kapoor. She also went on to play the role of a spy in the movie ‘Raazi’ which was based on a true story.
