Lord Krishna who was master in brilliant thinking advised villagers to worship Govardhan parvat for the good rain. This angered Indra and he threatened gokulwasi with hard thunderstorm. To protect the villages and livestock, lord Krishna lifted the whole Govardhan Parvat on his little finger. This pull down the ego of Indra, and Krishna saved whole Gokul and emerged as a Hero.
