Kerala: Youth commits suicide after the cancellation of merit list of government

Kerala suicide case: – A youth committed suicide due to the non-release of merit list of government job in Kerala. In this case, Congress and BJP have targeted the left government of the state.


A 28-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide on Sunday in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. It is being said that the young man was worried about not getting a job. Opposition parties, the Congress and the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) have blamed the Left Front government in Kerala for his death.

According to reports, the youth was under stress due to the cancellation of the Excise Officer rank list. In this list, he achieved the 77th rank. Police
said Anu’s body was found hanging in her house Sunday morning. A suicidal note from the spot said that he was upset about not getting a job.
Anu’s friends and relatives told reporters that he was very tense after the state Public Service Commission (PSC) canceled the Excise Officer Rank List recently.

Congress and BJP flashes on Left Government

A relative said, ‘Anu had secured the 77th rank in the list but the PSC canceled the list, leaving him in depression. He was neither talking to anyone nor eating properly. He used to sit alone in the dark.’ At the same time, the opposition Congress and BJP targeted the ruling Left government and the PSC over this matter.

However, a member of the PSC said that the Commission had already expanded the list till June 30 but it automatically got canceled after filling the 66 vacancies available. Meanwhile, the youth wing of the Congress on Monday announced a hunger strike in front of the PSC office regarding the death of the young man.
