Swachhata Hi Seva Movement launch: On Saturday 15, PM Modi invited around 2000 citizens from each and every sections of Indian society to take part in the cleanliness initiative.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Movement’ which aims at fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a Clean India. He motivated and interacted with different people from different layers of the society along with renowned celebrities such as Amitabh Bachhan, Sadhguru, Ratan Tata, Yogi Adityanath and Army personnels through video conferencing.
Swacch Bharat Mission which started as a mere intiative towards cleaning India fours years ago would take such a path of its own has amazed the whole country, says PM Modi. Among other invitees present were former judges, winners of gallantry awards, retired government officials and Common Wealth Games and Asian games medallists. Personalised letters were received by Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief ministers of all states,Governors and Lieutenant Governors.
The Swachhata Hi Seva movement ensures at achieving high standards of cleanliness across the country over the next two weeks leading to October 2nd, Gandhi Jayanti which is also going to be the 150th Birth Anniversary of The Father of Our Nation. Therefore in order to celebrate his birthday the Government had planned to make His dream of Clean Bharatvarsh come true.
Union Health Minister, JP Nadda has said that within the next few days, He and along with other senior Health Ministry officials will visit hospitals across the country during this movement.
The Government has taken this issue pretty seriously and everybody is doing their own bid to provide momentum to this movement. PM Modi has himself picked up the broom and swept the premises of Baba Sahib Ambedkar Higher Secondary School in Paharganj. He even interacts with the school students to encourage them and teach them the value of cleanliness.”Cleanliness is next to Godliness” afterall. He even left for Swachhata Shramdan without and security in the place. Political leaders as well as the Spritual leaders have enthusiastically came forward to take part in this movement. Syed Moin Hussain Chisti from Ajmer Sharif Dargha interacts with PM Modi during the launch of the movement and send a message for the country. Sadhguru says that we are a nation with an over 10000 yearsold culture, and that the drainage system of MohenjoDaro had left the the British in awe and that our country has a long history of both personal and public hygiene.
PM Modi had even took out time to interact with the cleanliness workers from Uttar Pradesh. Moreover he even thanked and praised the Women as well and the young citizens of our nation. The Nari Shakti’s contribution in the Swachha Bharat mission is immense and undefinable. The youngsters too have propagated the message of “Health equals to Wealth” far and loud.
The Movement is probably going to be a successful one and perhaps any one of the coming years we will be living in a Clean and hygienic country as Mahatma Gandhi had once dreamed of. But it’s the collective duty of ours to make it happen and lets do our own share of work and contribute to the cause.
