Apple’s New Bio Authentication Sensor
Apple’s bio authentication sensor enhances voice capability. Even the silent gestures command added into the sensor would enrich the wearable electronics. The sensor works on the principle of self-mixing interferometry that uses a laser beam. These sensors read even the delicate skin deformations and vibrations, apart from silent gestures. Once read, it converts it into an electrical signal. This electrical signal gets the quantification that is sent to the sensor’s processor. After the validation, the device processes the voice command and initiates the operation. So, the device becomes more secure due to the distinct voice of the individuals. Also, these voice commands can integrate with Apple’s voice assistant.
Apple Inc. has laid down the plans to use these bio authentication sensors in their next-gen AirPods, over-ear headphones, and in AR/VR headsets. But, it is quite difficult how Apple is going to integrate all the mentioned devices work on different principles like Subepidermal Imaging for executing its operation through bio authentication sensors. Yet, it is difficult to state when Apple Inc. will bring these products to the market due to these sensors being in the patent stage. So, the Apple device users need to wait for a year or two to see these new sensors creating magic and rendering security.
